1) Open a Linux terminal using Ctrl + Alt +t, then write next line:
sudo apt-get install postgresql-9.X
sudo apt-get install mercurial
sudo apt-get install openjdk-7-jdk
sudo update-alternatives --config javac
sudo update-alternatives --config java
cd Documents/
mkdir iDempiereSource
cd iDempiereSource/
hg clone https://bitbucket.org/idempiere/idempiere
2) Wait until iDempiere source be downloaded.
3) Move source folder to Eclipse workspace
mv Documents/iDempiereSource/iDempiere /home/user/workspace/
4) Create "targetPlatform" folder into project.
cd /home/user/workspace/iDempiere/
mkdir targetPlatform
5) Open Eclipse Mars (Java 7 Needed)
6) Select as workspace the next URL
/home/usuario/workspace/iDempiere
7) Install Mercurial Eclipse Plugin
- Open the eclipse just installed
- Navigate to Help > Install New Software
- Push the "Add" button
- Fill Name: Mercurial Eclipse
- Fill Location: http://mercurialeclipse.eclipselabs.org.codespot.com/hg.wiki/update_site/stable/
- Or
8) Install Buckminster
- Open the eclipse just installed
- Navigate to Help > Install New Software
- Push the "Add" button
- Fill Name: Buckminster
- Fill Location: http://download.eclipse.org/tools/buckminster/updates-4.4
- NOTE: To work with iDempiere 2.1 you must use http://download.eclipse.org/tools/buckminster/updates-3.7
- OK
- When the list of packages appears select
- Buckminster - Core
- Buckminster - Maven support
- Buckminster - PDE support
- The rest are not required
- Complete the installation pushing Next .... accepting the license and then Finish
10) One more time, click in File > Import > Buckminster > Materialize from Buckminster MSPEC, CQUERY or BOM.
11) Then click in "Menu > Project > Clean ... > Ok"
12) Click in "Run > Run Configurations > Eclipse Appplication > install app" and define the server parameters.
13) Finally, click in "Run > Run Configurations > Eclipse Application > server.product"
